PRE-RELEASE REVIEW OF DUNKI 2023 MOVIE OF SHAHRUKH KHAN
Dunki (transl. Donkey flight) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film based on "donkey flights", an illegal immigration entry technique. The film is directed and edited by Rajkumar Hirani and produced under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment and Jio Studios. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal (billed as a special appearance), and Boman Irani.
Principal photography began in April 2022 and
wrapped up a year later in April 2023. Filming took place in Mumbai, Jabalpur,
Kashmir, Budapest, London, Jeddah and Neom. The soundtrack is composed by
Pritam, while Aman Pant composed the background score. C. K. Muraleedharan,
Manush Nandan and Amit Roy handled the cinematography of the film.
Dunki is set to be theatrically released worldwide
on 21 December 2023.
STORYLINE:
Hardayal "Hardy" Singh Dhillon, Balli,
Buggu Lakhanpal, Sukhi and Manu are best friends who share aspirations of going
to London for a better life. The friends prepare to move for London and take up
measures to learn English and understand their culture, but decide to take an
illegal backdoor entry channel called "Dunki" to arrive in London,
where they encounter several challenges and life-changing experiences.
